In Wisconsin, Emily struggles to move on, but Kristen's surprise visit reignites old fears. As Emily delves into their shared secrets, she realizes their friendship may be built on lies. Emily must untangle the truth about Kristen before it's too late.
I thought this was decent, but it didn't blow me away. The start was strong and had a dark vibe, but it went a bit overboard later on, leaving me feeling confused, especially with the ending.
I liked how the story began, but it got repetitive halfway through and lacked excitement. I needed more to keep me hooked.
Overall, it was okay, but it didn't become a favorite of mine. Even though I wasn't crazy about this book, it was my first time reading or listening to anything by this author, and I'm interested in checking out more of her work.
