Bitter House by Kiersten Modglin

Rating: ★★★★☆

Dates Read: 8/19/24 - 8/21/24

When Bridget Bitter inherits the eerie estate she was forced to leave years ago, she dreads returning. Especially when she finds Cole Warner, her childhood rival, still living there. But when a cryptic letter arrives, buried secrets begin to surface. Bitter House is more than a haunted memory, it’s a trap. And if Bridget trusts the wrong person, she may never escape.

I have enjoyed every book I've read from Modglin in some capacity, but I loved this one. Bridget and Cole were fantastic, and I was rooting for them the whole time. I liked the pacing and the story itself. Overall, I really enjoyed this and highly recommend to fans of Modglin and just fans of thrillers!
