End of Story by A.J. Finn

Rating: ★★★★☆

Dates Read: 8/12/24 - 8/16/24

Mystery writer Sebastian Trapp has three months to live, and one final story to tell. He invites detective fiction expert Nicky Hunter to his mansion to write his life story, but his past holds a chilling mystery: twenty years ago, his wife and son vanished without a trace. As Nicky digs deeper, Sebastian’s daughter Madeleine begins to question what her father really knows. Then a body appears in the koi pond, proving the past isn’t buried, it’s been waiting.

This slow-burning thriller is packed with atmosphere, mystery, and unexpected twists. Set in Sebastian Trapp’s eerie mansion, the story unravels through a fascinating plot that keeps you guessing. Trapp himself is an interesting character. While the pacing starts slow, the tension builds, leading to a fantastic and satisfying ending. I really enjoyed this and definitely recommend it!
