Everything We Never Said by Sloan Harlow

Rating: ★★★★☆

Dates Read: 2/3/25 - 2/6/25

Months after her best friend Hayley’s death, Ella is consumed by guilt, and an impossible love for Sawyer, Hayley’s boyfriend. Hoping for clarity, she turns to Hayley’s journal but instead uncovers dark secrets about Sawyer and their relationship. As attraction and fear collide, Ella begins to wonder if some truths were never meant to surface.

I was worried when I started this that it was going to be too YA for me, but I was wrong. This book covers some heavy topics for teenagers. I honestly could not put this down. I feel like Harlow really nailed how, at least myself and people I know, would've responded in these situations as teens. I loved Ella and Sawyer, and I think I figured everything out not long before Ella. Except the main twist, I did not see that coming. I am really excited to read more from Harlow.
