    In July 1995, April and Eddie, lost on their way to a honeymoon, pick up a hitchhiker who is fatally injured, leading to a police investigation into a series of murders along the Atticus Line. As they try to clear their names, they uncover a supernatural force threatening to destroy the town, and them along with it.

    Simone St. James has come to be an auto-read author for me. I have enjoyed each book I've read from her. This story was complex and the atmosphere St. James has created felt so real. I could not put this down, and I highly recommend it.
