The Silent Woman by Minka Kent

Rating: ★★★☆☆ (3.75/5)

Dates Read: 2/12/25 - 2/17/25

Newlywed Jade Westmore has the perfect life, until she learns her husband’s first wife, Sylvie, still lives on their estate. Sylvie has been mute since a mysterious accident three years ago. No one has been able to break her silence, until Jade does. One afternoon, Jade offers a peace gesture, but Sylvie gives her something far more chilling: a torn slip of paper with a single word. Run.

This is super fast paced, and once it got going, I didn't want to put it down. I read a lot of thrillers but I loved the aspect of the old Hollywood biography in this. There were so many red herrings that I had some unhinged theories, but I was partially right with one. This was my first book from Kent, and I will be reading more! Overall, I really enjoyed this.
