The Good Sister by Sally Hepworth
Rating: ★★★☆☆
Dates Read: 7/9/24 - 7/10/24
Fern Castle lives a quiet life, working at her local library and having dinner with her twin sister Rose three times a week. When Rose finds out she can't get pregnant, Fern decides to help by having a baby for her. This plan turns Fern's orderly life upside down and reveals dark family secrets.
The library setting and Fern’s job as a librarian, along with her love of books, were great. I loved Fern’s quirkiness, innocence, and good heart, and I really liked her friend Wally. The story was a bit predictable, but still very enjoyable. I liked how it was told from dual perspectives. Overall, it was a good read!
